Failure is the stepping stone to succes

It has been exactly 1month and 20days since I joined Infy. The journey has been very fantastic till today. Infy not only makes you technically sound, it also inculcates ethics into you. It has brought a positive change in me and at times it has changed the way I look at things. The above sentences might sound like ‘All is Well’. Yes, all can be well with a bit of hard work, perseverance and dedication. The failures that you encounter on the way will surely change you for the better.

I encountered with my first failure in Infy. I somehow managed to ‘Fail’ myself in the 3rd module test of the Basic Course. The result was a shocker for me and the only thing that made me feel good was ‘My friend’s reactions when they heard that I had flunked’. They were more shocked. This had ruined the first and probably the only one valid weekend we had got. I started focusing on ‘What needs to be done?’, slogged for the next 2days(weekend ). Thankfully I had a good friend with me who gave me company during the weekends to study. I was back to the GEC on Monday (23/11/09) with a more determined mind.

The retest went well. It was perhaps the easiest paper ever in Infy (That shows the degree of my preparation). This incident rather failure woke me up from my world and gave an idea of the reality. Charles Darwin’s ‘Survival of the fittest’ is very apt.

I have kept my first foot towards success and all the credit goes to my failure. Looks like success and failure have a remarkable connection and hence the saying ‘Failure is the stepping stone to success’.

For the last twenty minutes I was thinking how do I start this post and finally ended up with this. Here are a few  music tracks made by me virtually. Let the tracks speak for themselves.

Home made photoframe

"Joblessness makes you creative" and I absolutely agree with that statement. It all started with the idea of gifting one of my friend a framed photo on his birthday. I went to the photo studio got the photo printed but forogt to get it framed there. So I start thinking after am home "What can be done?". I made a photo frame on my own at home. Here's how I did it.

   Things required:
A cardboard sheet, an old hard bound notebook as shown, blade, scale, stick tape, photo worth framing, superglue and a transparent to cover the photo.

1. Make sure that the photo fits the hard bound notebook you have chosen.

2. Wrap the note book with cardboard after taking out all the pages from the book.

 3. Stick the photo on one side of the book as shown in the pic.

4. Now your frame is almost ready. Stick a transparent sheet on the photo, so that dust doesn't get settled on it. Its time to make it stand. So cut out a piece of cardboard in the shape shown in the pic. and stick it the bound notebook as shown.

5. Finally your photo frame is ready. You can make it more colorful by painting some stuff on the cardboard. If you want to gift it to someone, you can write a message on the other side of the notebook. It can be improvised in many ways, this is just the basic idea. Hope u guys liked this.  Comments plzzz.

Job hunting

Now here's one more poem from my beloved pal 'Ananth' and this one is so apt to the current scenario. It just fits in. This one simply fantastic, all credits to my pal. I thought I will write a summary of it in English, but its better if its done by the author himself. Here's what he had to say.

"Many of us finished B.E.Many scored high marks, Many did wonderful innovative projects,All of us came out running to chase our dreams and have now halted for a while looking for that transport to take us there.

Its been a while since we came out and started looking for it! Everyday its the same routine, same atmosphere, same as yesterday, same queries by anxious parents, family and friends.

So in these hard times we ask lot of questions to ourselves to lighten the crisis and to fuel-in some hope. The above is such a Situation, which i am also going through and want to tell all you friends "PLEASE DO NOT LOOSE THAT HOPE"!!

You will get that call for the interview and a chance to chase your beautiful dreams."

Yours Truly,
ANANTH

Hey uncle!!!

This post is based on an attempt made by a group of friends to make one of their other friend knock off his mustache. Harshal is the guy who has this fondness towards his big black mustache. We used to bug him a lot calling it the 'marimuthu' which was putting down the glow of his face. He used to fire back at us with his major dialogues. Here's an instance.

Once he met with a horrible accident on Kanakpura road. Fortunately for him I was right behind him and unfortunately for me I had to witness such an incident. The rider, the pillion and the bike - all the three was damaged very badly. After 2days, he's back in college and we were telling him to ride safe and all. Here's his response - " You know what!! I realized, that I went over some oil or water and I knew i was going to crash. So i just had a look at the speedo, it was around 40kmph thats all. I was not speeding. The speedo just came across my eyes". Phew. He used to turn down our mustache request with amazing dialogues which made us name him 'Dialogue Uncle'.

Weeks passed by, a movie named 'Hey Baby' was released. After listening to the title track of the movie, I came up with the idea of 'Hey Uncle'. The next day in college I spent my time writing lyrics with the help of some friends. Lee who's into music got excited and told he was going to sing , record, add music and make a song out of it.

Note: Below is the song. Pls dont mind the lyrics.

Our attempt remained only an attempt. Removal of his mustache was virtually possible but not in reality.
